We are made of Stories
Bring your stories back to you. Place them in your hands for the telling, the capturing, the celebrating. Sit down with Stories in Hand and begin to ask yourself the questions inside. No matter how you tell your stories (notebook and pen, scrapbook pages, painting, collage, video), with Stories in Hand as your companion, you’ll be inspired like never before.
With contributions by renowned artists Cathy Zielske and Nisa Fiin, Stories in Hand will spark your memory and influence your imagination as you tell the stories of your life.

There may be nothing more important that you write in your lifetime than the answers to the prompts in this book. Sit down with Stories in Hand and begin to ask one another the questions. You’ll be amazed at what this small act of togetherness will do. Use the prompts in the book to learn about relatives and friends. Their stories are precious! You might discover stories that parallel your own, and the result (whether it’s an interview, an email, a phone call, or a conversation) will deepen and enrich your relationship.

About the Author
Jessica Sprague
My name is Jessica Sprague. I own the digital and hybrid scrapbooking education site JessicaSprague.com. I’m a wife, mama, and computer geek, along with any number of other things (janitor, laundress, chauffer, photographer, dishwasher, and that lady in the grocery store with that crazed look about her) on any other day.
I live in the suburbs. I love SuperTarget. I love scrapbook supplies in both digital and touchable varieties. I write a monthly column for Creating Keepsakes, and the occasional special issue. I make tutorials. I teach live classes around the country, and I have an extremely soothing voice (so they tell me).

Getting Started

1.
FIRST, you’ll need someplace to keep the stories themselves. How you record and what this becomes is up to you – it can be as simple as a notebook and a pen, your word processor, or a scrapbook.
2.
SECONDLY, you’ll need a place to write down the stories waiting to be told. As you go through Stories in Hand, you’ll literally be bombarded with memories!
3.
THIRDLY, you’ll want to make a timeline. Working from and adding to a large timeline can help you place your stories, both in time and in relationship to one another.
